The PDF Import module uses a vectorised PDF file to position 3D elements by snapping to specific points in the file.
Import PDF is an add-on module for cadwork Design. Simply import one or more PDFs and define their orientation (horizontal or vertical) and scale.
The files are then automatically imported in 3D and you can select the points at which to hang these elements.
It couldn’t be simpler, but it was worth thinking about.
Any software that exports DXF (a common exchange format for CAD software) is capable of exporting a vectorised PDF, with a definite advantage… The PDF cannot be modified, so you can be sure of basing your construction on the elements supplied.
