Manufacture of a frequency 3 geodesic dome for the market garden company “Les Carrés Jardin” in the Loire. The dome is 7.00 m in diameter and 4.20 m high. The lower belt supporting the dome is made up of 15 12x20cm oak crossbeams. The main structure in Douglas fir is made up of 310 pieces. Each hip and valley is made up of two 6x10cm half-slats. Each triangle was assembled separately before a blank assembly of the whole in the workshop (see photos of the assembly) and then re-assembled keeping each assembled triangle. The company reassembled the whole unit in just one day on site.
